We are an organization embodying the creed of creating a pro-student and pro-people government. We are an alliance of organizations and individuals who believe in the power of active student participation in achieving a just and free society.

As the University’s oldest existing and leading political organization, we train and produce student leaders for the University and the country, participate in all electoral exercises, and stand for causes such as anti-discrimination, education, environment, partisanship, and students’ and citizens’ rights.

Tapat believes that each individual is good in nature and is capable of reform despite their actions brought about by the injustices of the system. This is why Tapat continuously fights for human rights and the right to due process of every individual.

conflict is inevitable but can be mediated

Disagreements are impossible to avoid, especially for those who stand by what they believe, but this should not be left unresolved.

change is radical but systematic

Change will always be a constant thing in this world, which is why it must be acted upon in a systematic manner for it to contribute to bettering the system.

Being progressive is about taking what society has now and finding new ways to make it better. It's about never settling for mediocrity and always striving for excellence.

To be pioneering is to be courageous in taking on new ideas and bringing them to life. Pioneers are champions of change and challengers of convention.

Being a personal leader is to empathize with the people and be one with them in their struggles. This allows Tapat leaders to give deeper meanings to what we fight for today.

Professionalism is about learning to put one's emotions aside and being accountable for their words and actions. It's about being objective in making decisions that fits everyone's best interests.

Being principled is standing firm with your beliefs, to never sacrifice one's principles for anything or anyone. Consistency, integrity, and ingenuity.
